The Military Rifle Matches take place on the 2nd Sunday of the month, except as noted, from April until November and are open to members and their guests only.
The match is a friendly competition of bench rest shooting involving various models of military rifles and carbines at multiple distances.
With the changes in military issued rifles over the decades, the matches have been divided into several separate categories of competition.

CATEGORIES:
MILITARY RIFLE: Iron Sights Only at 100 Yards at an NRA-MR31C target. Category includes 1903 & 1903A3, 1917 Eddystone, M-1 Garand, M1A – as issued sights, German Mauser, Swedish Mauser, Mosin Nagant, & Arisaka.

SPECIAL MILITARY RIFLE: Iron Sights Only at 200 Yards at an NRA-MR-52 target.

CARBINE: Iron Sights Only at 50 yards at an NRA-MR31C target
Barrel Length: 20” or less, M-1 Carbine-18”, AK-47-16.5”, SKS-20”, Mosin Nagant-20”, Arisaka-19.5”.

COMPETITION: Iron Sights Only at 100 yards at an NRA-MR31C target. M-1 Garand National Match, M-14/M1A Match, AR Style.

COMPETITION SCOPED: 200 yards at NRA-MR31C 100 yard target
Garand M1 C&D, 1903A4/5, M14 M21, Mosin Nagant PU M91/30,

and AR STYLE RIFLES.
Military Pistols: Contact Ron for details.

Spotting scopes with tripod to spot impacts for scoring would be a big help, but is certainly optional.
Photos of one or more previous matches can be found on the club website here: https://www.bcgf.org/content.aspx?page_id=187&club_id=151422&page_number=2

We look forward to seeing you at the next match!
